who turned on the lights?

Last week was a great week with Jack. It was as if someone turned on the lightbulb! He finally started using 3 different signs that we have been teaching him for months: eat, more and all done - I think Brian even taught him one - Jack rubbed his face on my chest, then looked at me and did the sign for more! I think the message was clear - we wanted to nurse! As you can see from my last post on Jack he started doing "SO BIG". He has also started clapping, intentionally waving and trying to speak some words like all done and hi. We also started limiting the pacifier (nu-nu) to the bed and car only and when I get him out of bed he has learned that he drops the nu-nu and waves bye-bye. This is such a fun time - this is when they really start picking up on stuff really fast and it's so exciting to watch them learn so fast. I look forward to the next few weeks and months as he learns more and more.

Here are some pictures that I took of him at the park the other day.

A walk in the park

Every summer my niece and nephew visit us for a few days. This time they stayed the longest that they ever have AND Olivia was old enough that she got to have a sleepover with them each night downstairs (it was a big deal that she didn't have to sleep in her bed!!). We stayed really busy doing lots of fun stuff and we had a very great time together. Here's some pics I took at the park while they were here.

I will post some pictures of Jack in a separate post.

Jack's getting bigger

Jack is finally big enough to ride the rocking horse he got at Christmas from my parents. My mom wanted to see pics of him on it and this is the easiest way to share pics and video of him.

Turn down the volume so you don't hear my annoying "baby talk" voice :-)
